The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) is launching its biggest ever research grants round today.

This gives researchers the opportunity to apply for funding for studies that will bring us closer to a future without osteoporosis.

The ROS offers grants every two years to support the brightest minds in research and enhance knowledge about osteoporosis.

This year, we are inviting applications that fit the priority areas for research included in the charity’s recently published Research Roadmap. These are:

• causes and mechanisms
• novel technology for skeletal assessment
• optimising effectiveness of assessment and treatment

The ROS and its Osteoporosis and Bone Research Academy, are working towards a cure for osteoporosis and aiming to bring about real improvements to the lives of people living with osteoporosis.

The deadline for initial applications is Monday 7 June 2021. The successful research projects will be announced at the end of 2021.
