Offering research grants is one of the many ways we work to advance our vision - a future without osteoporosis.
Our most-recent research grants round stemmed from a major evaluation of the outcomes of our research funding to date. This culminated in the launch of our latest Research Strategy.
The research grants programme is overseen by our Research Grants Committee, which is made up of scientific and lay members.
Ten core research areas are identified that support progress against our mission to Prevent, Care, Support and Cure osteoporosis. In order to achieve our vision of a future without osteoporosis, we are tackling these core areas for all types of osteoporosis:
- Diagnosis and Risk Assessment
- Lifestyle Management
- Access to Information
- Systems of Care
- Mechanisms of Disease
- Medication and Supplements
- Living with Osteoporosis
- Osteoporosis & Comorbidities
