Support for researchers

We aim to support the best researchers at all stages of their career via a diverse portfolio of funding and support mechanisms.

Building on our previous successes, we continue to implement a Research and Innovation Grants Programme in order to fund high-quality research. This is overseen by our Research and Innovation Grants Assessment Panel.

The charity is also strongly positioned to ensure that patients and the public are actively involved in research at all stages, from identifying research questions, developing applications for funding, designing protocols, and finally participating in studies. Therefore, the charity currently employs a Research Support Request process for researchers wishing to request help with patient and public involvement.
