We need you. Help us persuade the Government to listen by sharing your views on osteoporosis
Head office
16 Jun 2023
The Government is asking for views on osteoporosis and other major health conditions, under the banner of its Major Conditions Strategy.
This is the best opportunity we've had to persuade Government and the NHS to make Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) a priority. FLS are the gold standard for systematically identifying, assessing and treating anyone who breaks a bone over the age of 50. But there is a postcode lottery for access to a quality FLS in all four nations, especially England.
People directly affected by osteoporosis are best placed to tell the Government, from their own perspective, how important it is to improve osteoporosis services, so we're asking for your help. By sharing your views using the link below, you’ll be providing a powerful perspective.

How to take part
To take part, please add your views under the section on musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions before the call for evidence closes on 12 July. It doesn't take long and the more responses the Government receive on osteoporosis and the need for universal coverage of FLS, the higher the chance that their final report prioritises this condition.
The ROS will also be responding as we believe everyone deserves to be offered the same chance to avoid future fractures.
Thank you for your support and helping us make the most of this golden opportunity to make the Government listen.
