ROS 2023 annual report: the highlights

Last year was a breakthrough year for our charity and the 2023 Annual Report celebrates the highlights.

In 2023 we extended the reach of our risk checker campaign, which has been the biggest public engagement exercise in our history.

We also took further steps as a key influencer on the national stage, through our Better Bones campaign with the Sunday Express for Fracture Liaison Services (FLS). And we had breakthroughs: we won a mandate for universal FLS in Wales and an audit to drive up the quality of fracture services in Scotland.

Meanwhile, our Osteoporosis Conference staged a return, bringing together over 600 healthcare professionals to learn from best practice and each other. We were also the biggest winner at the Third Sector Awards, taking home three prestigious awards, including Best Charity.

We couldn’t do what we do without the generous involvement and support of our members and volunteers. They have been front and centre in our work and in driving the charity to carry on improving and extending the reach of everything we do.

After the second year of our strategy, Breaking the Silence around osteoporosis and bone health has never felt so real. And we’re just getting started.

Read the Annual Report to see some of the memorable events from the last 12 months – from Her Majesty The Queen opening our new offices in January, to our carol concert at St Paul’s Cathedral in December.

Help us be there for everyone who needs us in 2024 by getting involved or making a donation.
