Today, the Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) has published its Annual Impact Report.
Reflecting on the last calendar year, the report sets out the impact of our support services, our advocacy for people living with osteoporosis, and our progress in driving forward research into a cure for the condition. The report also reflects on the impact of a special government-sponsored programme of telephone and digital outreach, which connected our nursing team to the people who needed them during lockdown while NHS services were paused.
Chief Executive, Craig Jones said: “The story of 2020 for the voluntary sector was one of resilience of adaptation, and our charity’s experience was no different. Out of great challenge came a modernisation of our services, particularly around patient information and online support. We’re more agile than before, with an ambition to support more people than ever in 2021, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our NHS colleagues as they turn the tide on the pandemic."
