WOAG

Wales Osteoporosis Advisory Group

Clinical network in Wales

WOAG currently has 140 members (all registered healthcare professionals from across Wales) who work with people with, or at risk of, osteoporosis and fragility fracture.

The network includes professors, consultants, doctors, nurses, GPs, radiographers, radiologists, physiotherapists, pharmacists and specialist therapists.

The network is free to join and new members are welcome.

 

WOAG is the All Wales Osteoporosis Advisory Group and was established with the aim of:

  • Developing, establishing and disseminating advice and guidance to Local Health Boards on matters related to osteoporosis.

  • Liaising with the Welsh Government.

  • Developing and implementing strategies that will provide equitable osteoporosis services across Wales.

  • Holding scientific meetings and supporting the training and development of all those involved in promoting bone health in Wales.
