Research and Innovation Grants Assessment Panel (RIGAP)

Our Research and Innovation Grants Assessment Panel (RIGAP) consists of scientific and lay members and plays a crucial role in the success of our research programme.

The role of the panel

  • Oversee the processes involved in the research grants programme
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on the allocation of research and innovation funding, in line with the Royal Osteoporosis Society strategy.
  • Advise the charity in development of its Research Strategy, in line with the overall strategic direction
  • Comply with Research and Innovation Grants Assessment Panel Code of Conduct and the charity's Conflicts of Interest policy.
  • Ensure reciprocal lines of communication to the charity's Clinical and Research Committee

Individual RIGAP members might be asked to advise the ROS in their individual specialist area when required or attend other meetings or events to report on the work of the RIGAP
