We’re pleased to be able to share that the Royal College of Physicians’ (RCP) National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD) is recruiting honorary fellows to join its delivery team, and support the development of innovations to drive up standards in hip fracture care.

This is an exciting opportunity for volunteers to join the team remotely, contributing expertise and ideas to the NHFD while simultaneously developing their own skills in diverse areas including big data management, clinical reporting, and academic research.

Importantly, the opportunity is open to Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and nurses, as well as senior doctors in training and early years consultants/specialist doctors who are clinically focused with an interest and experience in quality for hip fracture care.

“Hip fractures are a significant trauma, with high mortality and morbidity,” says Jill Griffin, Head of Clinical Engagement at the Royal Osteoporosis Society.

“NHFD are leading the way in recognising and developing MDT teams to support the programme by opening applications to AHPs and nurses.

“Working with NHFD is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the quality of care for people with these fractures at scale.”

Deadline for applications is 27 October, with interviews taking place on 13 and 14 November. Read more about the role and application process here.
