We're launching our largest ever research grants round today.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) offers grants every two years to support the brightest minds in research and enhance knowledge about osteoporosis.

This year, the ROS and it’s Osteoporosis and Bone Research Academy, are inviting applications that fit the priority areas for research included in the charity’s Research Roadmap launched in December 2020.

The priority areas are:
• causes and mechanisms
• novel technology for skeletal assessment
• optimising effectiveness of assessment and treatment

Applications should clearly demonstrate how the research proposed will provide benefit to people with or at risk of osteoporosis and fragility fractures based on these three areas.

Applicants will be able to apply for Project Grants, Early Career Grants or Innovative Grants.

More information on the two-stage application process, criteria and eligibility of each scheme and key dates are available here: theros.org.uk/research-grants. The deadline for initial applications is Monday 7 June 2021.
