Joyce Harrison, DXA Radiographer for the Bone Metabolism Team at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, is retiring this March after 27 years of service.

Her team said: "Joyce has been a dedicated, dependable and integral member of the Bone Metabolism Team in Glasgow since 1994.

"As the only DXA radiographer in our hospital, she was key to the successful implementation of the Fracture Liaison Service from its inception in 1999, and indeed has been at the heart of our Bone Metabolism service for the past 27 years.

"We would all like to take the opportunity to thank her for her valued service and to wish her many happy and fulfilling years in her retirement."

Our Service Improvement Lead for Scotland, Mayrine Fraser, said: "We're hugely grateful to Joyce for her dedication and vital work, which has made a difference to thousands of people affected by osteoporosis over the last 27 years."
