27 Oct 2020

Registration for the Royal Osteoporosis Society’s innovative new digital learning event for healthcare professionals is now open inviting them to join its world-leading experts for this one-day online event on Tuesday 1 December.

The online event will bring the very latest updates in osteoporosis clinical practice and research with live, interactive keynote sessions, symposia, and oral abstract and poster presentations.

The programme brings together the latest in research and clinical practice for clinicians and researchers at all career stages - including primary care practitioners, orthopaedic specialists, radiologists, and allied health professionals.

Osteoporosis Online is an unmissable event for HCPs working in the field of osteoporosis, bone health, research, fracture management and rebab, secondary fracture prevention and bone densitometry.

It features more than twenty prestigious speakers from the fields of bone health - representing orthopaedics, rheumatology, geriatrics, endocrinology, radiologists, and physiotherapy.

ROS Professional Development Lead Jill Griffin said: “We have pulled together an exciting programme for delegates with the UK’s top clinicians. The programme covers the latest research and treatments for osteoporosis, and we share insights on how to deliver best practice care in the unique COVID-19 landscape.

“In addition, we will be hearing the latest from the Osteoporosis and Bone Research Academy and launch our ‘Research Roadmap’ to find a cure for osteoporosis.

“This represents excellent value for money and if you can’t join us live or are struggling to choose between sessions, all registered delegates can enjoy our entire programme on-demand after the event."

Delegates will:

  • Explore the priority areas for research to bring us closer to a cure for osteoporosis
  • Discuss latest research across the field though oral abstract presentations and ePoster exhibitions
  • Understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on osteoporosis patients and fracture prevention pathways
  • Understand best practice and develop skills in conducting effective virtual consultations
  • Discover new and emerging technology in the identification of osteoporosis, fracture risk and bone mass measurement

Tickets are just £120 or £90 for concessions (students and retired HCPs) and ROS members. You can download the full programme and register online at theros.org.uk/osteo-online.
