We’re delighted to share that BoneMed Online, our digital medicine support programme for people starting or switching osteoporosis medicines, has won the Top-Quality Improvement Project Abstract Prize at the Osteoporosis Conference 2026, hosted by the Society of Endocrinology.
The award was presented at the conference in Manchester on 10 September and recognises the innovative approach behind BoneMed Online, which provides people with personalised information and ongoing support throughout their first year of treatment.
Users complete a short survey to receive a personalised medicine summary, followed by a series of emails with practical information to help them understand their treatment, feel more confident taking their medicine and stay on track.
Erika Radford, Head of Information and Support Services at the ROS said:
“Being recognised with this award is a fantastic achievement. We know that taking an osteoporosis medicine can be a time when people have lots of questions and may need extra reassurance and support. BoneMed Online provides each person with tailored information and ongoing support for a year, alongside the care they receive from their healthcare team. We’ve also had lots of positive feedback from people using the service, so it’s particularly rewarding to see their experience reflected in this award. We hope BoneMed Online will continue to help more people feel confident about their treatment.”
We’re really proud to see BoneMed Online recognised in this way. It highlights the value of providing people with personalised support that compliments their clinical care, particularly during the first year of taking an osteoporosis medicine.
