How can our Online Community help?
Living with osteoporosis can feel lonely and confusing - but it doesn't have to be. Our online community connects you with people who truly understand what you're going through. Whether you're living with osteoporosis yourself, or supporting someone else, you'll find understanding, practical advice, and genuine support.
Hear from members of our online community:
Is it for me?
The ROS Online Community is open to anyone aged 18 or over who:
has concerns about their bone health
is living with osteoporosis, osteopenia or the impact of fractures
is supporting or caring for someone with osteoporosis.
You'll find people at every stage of their osteoporosis journey - from newly diagnosed to years of experience. Whether you need practical tips for daily life, gentle reassurance, or want to support others earlier in their journey, this is your space.
Please note: While members can't provide medical advice, you'll find real-world insights from people managing osteoporosis day-to-day.

How does it work?
You can read what other members have shared, ask questions, and share your own thoughts - all from the comfort of your own home. It's available 24/7, so you can visit whenever it suits you.
Sign up quickly and easily in two minutes for free, using a private, anonymous username. You can then:
share your thoughts, questions, and experiences with others
start conversations or reply to posts from other members
connect with people at any stage of their osteoporosis journey.
The community is moderated by the Royal Osteoporosis Society support team, including our nurses, to keep it safe and supportive.
You can browse the community before joining if you'd like to get a feel for it first - but to ask questions, share your experiences, and connect with others, you'll need to create a free account.
What will I find in the community?
Our members support each other by sharing their real life experiences of living with osteoporosis. Some of the topics they discuss include:
managing daily life with osteoporosis
diagnosis, treatment, and medicines
coping with fractures and recovery
eating well and bone-healthy recipe ideas
exercise and staying active safely
supporting loved ones with bone health concerns
emotional wellbeing.
