LithoLexal® Bone Health receives ROS Bone Health Accreditation

Head office

13 Dec 2021

LithoLexal® Bone Health is the newest partner to join the Royal Osteoporosis Society's Bone Health Accreditation Scheme, launched in April this year.

Under the scheme, a wide range of products and services including foods, beverages, supplements and living aids can apply to use a bespoke Bone Health Approved logo from the ROS on their packaging.

Henry Mace, Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy at the ROS said:

“We warmly welcome LithoLexal® Bone Health as the newest partner to join our Bone Health Accreditation Scheme. This scheme plays a vital role in our aim to improve the bone health of the nation as whenever consumers see the logo on a product, they can be confident that experts from the ROS have assessed the bone health claims made.

“Particularly over the winter months where we are unable to get enough vitamin D from sunlight, it’s more important than ever to find easy ways to support our bone health.”

LithoLexal® Bone Health contains a unique marine plant extract, responsibly sourced from the mineral rich seas of Iceland, that provides a highly bioavailable source of calcium, magnesium and over 72 additional trace minerals, with added vitamin D. It has been formulated to help maintain normal bone health, reducing the risk of falling associated with postural instability and muscle weakness.

Ben Mountford, LithoLexal® Brand Manager said:

“We are delighted to join the ROS Bone Health Accreditation Scheme and align our values in raising awareness of good bone health, recognising the huge impact poor bone health has on society and wider health economy in the UK.”

“With over 3.5 million women and men in the UK affected by Osteoporosis, the need to raise awareness of good bone health could not be greater. Tackling this head on with The Royal Osteoporosis Society is a great honour.”
