Give the gift of strong bones for future generations

Since 1986, with the support of people like you, we have been there for anyone affected by osteoporosis.

But with someone breaking a bone because of osteoporosis every minute in the UK, research to stop the pain and suffering caused by osteoporosis is needed more than ever.

The charity receives no government funding, and gifts in wills contribute to over a third of our income each year. We simply cannot help everyone in need without the generosity of people like you. Your contributions will aid our vital research towards a cure, allow funding for our free osteoporosis helpline and shape support groups for people like you across the nation.

Meet Liz, our Legacy Manager

Liz Parry has been the Legacy Manager for the charity for over 5 years; dealing with all the incredible gifts bequeathed to the organisation, ensuring all legacies are received and maximised to ensure we make the best use of these very special gifts.

Liz has worked in charity legacy administration for over 20 years, is a qualified Legal Executive, and STEP affiliate. She's also a certified Member of the Institute of Legacy Management.

Before entering the charity sector, Liz started her career as a negotiator at a firm of estate agents and auctioneers. Liz then moved to a firm of solicitors, where she gained experience in conveyancing, wills and probate. This gave Liz this inspiration to study to become a lawyer. All this combined experience gave Liz the ideal background and expertise to become a Legacy Manager.

Liz has gained extensive experience not only in Legacy Administration, but in legacy awareness raising to members of staff, volunteers and Trustees, to ensure that everyone within the charity is aware of, and appreciates the importance of these incredible gifts.

If you have left a gift in your will to the Royal Osteoporosis Society, or plan to, please give us the chance to thank you. Contact Liz Parry: Liz.Parry@theros.org.uk or 01761 473261.

With your help, we can...

  • Motivate people to take action for their bones and prevent osteoporosis developing in the first place.
  • Continue to train healthcare professionals so everyone with osteoporosis receives the care they deserve.
  • Be there for anyone needing information and support, for generations to come.
  • Fund research to improve the lives of people living with osteoporosis and - one day - find a cure.
